Reiki Healing Journeys

Lori Is a Reiki Master Practitioner, She completed a 544 hour Reiki program under the tutelage of Reiki Master Teacher, Margaret Ann Case  founder and owner of Reiki Arts Contiuum at the New York Open Center. Lori is also an Ordained Minister with the Sanctuary of the Beloved , of the State of New York.

          Reiki Master Lineage 

Lineage is a list of teacher's names in chronoligical order and should be able to trace back to Usui Mikao, the Founder of the system of Reiki.

Lineage is an Eastern tradition found in practices such as yoga and Buddhism. It refers to the line of direct transmission of the teachings and initiations from the teacher to the student.

The Reiki System of Natural Healing, lineage should be understood as how the Reiki System is taught by the teacher to the student.

Reiki Master Teachers are individuals who have dedicated themselves to the practice of the Reiki System and art of spiritual healing. Mastership can be likened to that of someone who has gone through the steps of apprenticeship and journeyman to finally arrive at being a Master.

How Reiki and I met

As well as being a proud Reiki Practitioner, I am also an actress, choreographer,producer and teacher.

I at the time was focusing on my acting. It was 2002 and had lost my mother in January of  the previous year 2001.I was struggling deeply with moving past my grief. I had tried various methods of healing and working through my grief. I tried reading several books on grief.Doing self-hypnosis tapes. Positive thinking tapes, Meditation, as well as seeking a Spiritual healer.All of which helped but, not really to the degree that I had hoped or needed.I was still struggling and it was affecting the quality of my acting work. I had a teacher of mine tell me that I was missing joy in my voice. She was right. There was still a gnawing feeling of sadness that manifested through my voice without my being aware of it. She had suggested that I try Reiki. I had never heard of it before.She told me it was a spiritual energy healing work and It would be worth trying out. I did. And the experience for me, was so profound, beautiful, fulfilling and uplifiting, that immediatley following my experience, I knew that I wanted to be part of assisting others in their search for healing.It was another three and half years before I was able to get to my first level of Reiki. But, once I got there, I knew that this path was what  I wanted to add to my journey in life.I now do my self-care. Apply Reiki to my creative life, personal life and professional life. And I get to assist others in their journeys of Healing and  self growth.

There are no accidents. The Universe truly guides us in the most sublime ways towards our individual evolvements of ourselves. I am grateful to the teacher who suggested Reiki to me. And I am grateful to myself for allowing myself the opportunity to experience it. It is changing my life everyday.
